Lately he seems bored with everything

QUESTION: 

I own a 2 yr. old quarter horse and he was really good. I can go through all the gaits and stuff but lately he seems bored with everything. What’s a girl to do?

ANSWER: 

Hi Jo,

If he is learning everything that quick, then take him on some trail rides and continue to further his education. Start trails obstacles, side passing, shoulder and hip yielding, two tracking, changing leads, (if you know how to do it). You will never run out of things to teach your horse. Enjoy the fact that your horse is a quick learner, because not all of them are.
